If we’re being honest, this space has been a long time coming.

When I first started my business, I’d read all these stories about entrepreneurs who “hit six figures overnight” or built perfectly balanced lives filled with quiet mornings, tidy desks, and endless confidence.

And while I’m genuinely happy for anyone who finds their version of success, I remember sitting there thinking… but where are the stories about the in-between?

The stories about the people who are building, not just celebrating?

Because truthfully, that’s where I’ve spent most of my time: somewhere between the dreaming and the doing, with coffee in one hand and a to-do list in the other, trying to figure out what it actually means to grow a business while still having a life that feels like mine.

The truth

This isn’t a space for quick tips, marketing hacks, or 10-step plans to make $10k months.
It’s not the highlight reel version of entrepreneurship.

It’s the real, unfiltered side of it all — the late nights, the lessons, the quiet wins, and the parts no one talks about.

I’ll be sharing what it looks like to build my business, the honest behind-the-scenes of what’s working, what’s not, and what I’m learning as I go.

Sometimes that means sharing a big breakthrough. Sometimes it means admitting that the day started with a spilled coffee, a tech issue, and maybe a few tears.

Because that’s real life. And that’s what Behind the Build is all about.

The inspiration behind it all

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I have a soft spot for Charleston. It’s our family’s peaceful place, the one spot that always brings clarity when I feel stuck or overwhelmed.

The charm, the calm, the colors—they’ve all made their way into this space too.
You’ll see nods to Charleston in my branding: the lantern for guidance, the florals for growth, and the soft teal that’s become my grounding color.

Those pieces are reminders of why I started this business in the first place. Not for perfection, but for peace.

So whether you’re a fellow entrepreneur, a creative dreamer, or someone simply figuring out their next step, welcome.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to be building something beautiful.

This is the space where we talk about it honestly, openly, and without the filters.
